What Trametinib is
An approved melanoma drug that made mice live longer. Added to rapamycin, the effects stacked, which suggests the two drugs pull separate levers.

How it works: It blocks MEK1 and MEK2, two enzymes in the Ras, RAF, MEK, ERK chain. That chain carries growth signals to the cell's nucleus and drives cells to divide.
