What a milligram actually costs

Why this is a range and not an average

Prices in this market do not cluster. They spread by several times for the same peptide in the same size of vial, and an average lands somewhere no seller is actually charging. Holding the vial size still so only the sellers differ, the widest gap here is GHK-Cu: for the same 100mg vial, one seller asks 6.3 times what another does.

So the spread is reported rather than smoothed. The median sits between the two ends, the number of sellers is printed beside it, and no range is published at all where fewer than 3 sellers were found, because a median over two sellers is a price and not a market.

The number we want, and why it is not here yet

A price is only meaningful if the vial holds what the label says. The figure worth publishing is not what a milligram costs across every seller. It is what a milligram costs among sellers whose product has independently tested above a purity and dose bar. A cheap vial that is not the compound is not cheap.

That gate is written and switched off. The bar it will apply is 99 percent purity by HPLC from a third-party laboratory, the measured amount within 25 percent of the label, and a test no more than 12 months old.

It is off because we do not hold quality data we are entitled to use. The one source that samples properly, buying its own vials and publishing the failures, forbids reuse of its results in its terms. Every other source aggregates certificates that sellers chose to publish, and a seller publishes a certificate when it passes. Gating on that would let almost everybody through and produce a number that looks rigorous and is not.

So the figures below cover every seller found. That is said on every card rather than implied, and the testing page explains how to check a source yourself in the meantime.

How this is counted

• Prices come from each storefront's own public product API, a documented read-only endpoint returning structured data. No page is scraped, no browser is imitated, requests are sequential and rate limited, and they carry a user agent naming this site.
• An offer is recorded only where the compound is unambiguous and the vial size can be read exactly. Anything doubtful is dropped rather than estimated, because a guessed vial size is an invented price.
• Blends are excluded from a single compound's figures, because a blend is priced for the total milligrams of several peptides.
• Capsules, tablets, nasal sprays, sublinguals, gels and creams are excluded. Their cost per milligram is not comparable to a vial.
• Wholesale multipacks are excluded. One storefront lists a ten vial pack at a per vial price, which read as a fifth of the market rate until it was caught.
• Salts and modified forms are kept apart from the plain peptide, because a different molecule carries a different mass of active compound.
• Identical offers repeated across unrelated product options are collapsed, so one vendor's attribute list cannot drag the median.
• Prices exclude shipping, taxes and customs, so the lowest figure is the lowest of the sources tracked and not the lowest you will pay.
• Vials under 2mg are excluded. Below that the price is dominated by the vial, the fill and the shipping rather than the peptide: a 1mg epitalon vial at $110 computes to $110 a milligram against a market median of $3.30, and that is not what the seller is charging for epitalon.
• The seller gap column holds the vial size still. The headline range mixes seller pricing with the fact that a bigger vial always costs less per milligram, and only the first is a fact about what you are being charged.
