Pentadeca Arginate

Pentadeca Arginate (PDA, pentadecapeptide arginate)

Also known as: PDA, Pentadecapeptide arginate, BPC-157 arginate

The same 15 amino acid sequence as BPC-157 with an arginine salt instead of acetate, created as a compounding workaround; it has no studies of its own and inherits BPC-157's animal-only evidence.

Overview

Pentadeca arginate appeared after the FDA placed BPC-157 in Category 2 of the compounding bulk list in 2023. Its peptide sequence (GEPPPGKPADDAGLV) is identical to BPC-157; only the counterion differs. Marketing claims it is more stable and legally distinct. Neither claim has been published or accepted by the FDA. A 2025 systematic review found the entire human evidence base for the parent peptide is one uncontrolled 12-patient case series. The parent peptide was removed from Category 2 in April 2026 and an advisory committee voted for it in July 2026, which has made the 'legal alternative' pitch moot.

Mechanism of action

Presumed identical to BPC-157: FAK-paxillin, VEGFR2 and nitric-oxide signaling supporting angiogenesis and tissue repair in animal models.

Is pentadeca arginate different from BPC-157?

Chemically it is the same peptide with a different salt. No study shows different absorption, stability or effect.

Is it legal where BPC-157 is not?

That claim has never been validated by the FDA. Both are unapproved drugs when sold for human use.
