What this means

  • 01

No product containing CJC-1295 with GHRP-2 is approved by Health Canada for any use in Canada, so nothing on the market is authorized for people.

  • 02

"Research use only" is a vendor label, not a legal category that permits human use. It does not exempt a product from medicines law.

  • 03

Importing, supplying or promoting it for human use can fall under medicines legislation in Canada. This page is general information, not legal advice.

What CJC-1295 with GHRP-2 is

A 10 mg vial split evenly between a GHRH analogue and a ghrelin-receptor agonist. The pairing of those two drug classes has genuine human data, including a study in which combining them drove more growth hormone than either alone, but that work used different agents, given intravenously or by pump, in a clinic. No study has tested this vial.

This is the oldest rationale in the growth hormone corner of the peptide market: hit the pituitary from two directions at once. A GHRH analogue raises the size of a pulse, a ghrelin-receptor agonist triggers one and blunts somatostatin, and the two together do more than either.

Mechanism: Two receptors, one axis. The GHRH analogue binds the GHRH receptor on pituitary somatotrophs and increases the amplitude of a growth hormone pulse.

Regulatory history: Not approved. Neither component is an approved medicine in the United States, and the combination has never been evaluated.

How Health Canada treats this kind of product

Authorises drugs for sale through a Notice of Compliance and Drug Identification Number. A compound that is not authorised for sale cannot lawfully be sold for human use, and personal importation of prescription drugs is limited.

The classification above is the The Longevity Archive reading of Health Canada, Health Products and Food Branch listings for CJC-1295 with GHRP-2 at the reviewed date, not a legal opinion. Rules change, and importing, prescribing and possessing a compound can each be treated differently. Check the regulator directly before acting on anything here.
