What PT-141 with oxytocin is
A 15 mg vial, usually 10 mg bremelanotide with 5 mg oxytocin. So two thirds of the powder is bremelanotide and one third is the hormone oxytocin. Bremelanotide has two large studies behind its approval. Oxytocin was tested for sex problems in 30 women, and the women on a dummy spray did just as well. The mix has never been tested.
This vial is sold as a two-part answer to sex problems. One part is for desire and arousal.
How it works: Bremelanotide presses melanocortin switches, mostly the MC4 switch in the brain. That is the desire and arousal path.
