What Sermorelin with GHRP-2 and GHRP-6 is
A long-standing compounded triple, commonly 3 mg of each in a 9 mg vial or 2 mg of each in a 6 mg vial. Two of the three components are agonists at the same ghrelin receptor, so this is two mechanisms with one delivered twice, and the second delivery is the component with the strongest appetite effect in the family.
This blend predates most of the market and it is still dispensed. The rationale offered is that GHRP-2 and GHRP-6 have slightly different profiles and that using both covers more ground.
Mechanism: Sermorelin is GHRH 1-29 and raises the amplitude of a growth hormone pulse at the GHRH receptor. GHRP-2 and GHRP-6 are both hexapeptide agonists at the growth hormone secretagogue receptor, triggering a pulse and opposing somatostatin tone, and both also drive appetite through the same receptor.
Regulatory history: Not approved as a combination. Sermorelin held US approval and was withdrawn commercially; neither GHRP has ever been approved.
How MHRA treats this kind of product
Licenses medicines for the UK market. A compound without a marketing authorisation is an unlicensed medicine, which can only lawfully be supplied for human use through a prescriber under the specials scheme, not sold as a research product.
The classification above is the The Longevity Archive reading of Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency listings for Sermorelin with GHRP-2 and GHRP-6 at the reviewed date, not a legal opinion. Rules change, and importing, prescribing and possessing a compound can each be treated differently. Check the regulator directly before acting on anything here.
