What this means
- 01
No product containing BPC-157 with KPV is approved by Health Canada for any use in Canada, so nothing on the market is authorized for people.
- 02
"Research use only" is a vendor label, not a legal category that permits human use. It does not exempt a product from medicines law.
- 03
Importing, supplying or promoting it for human use can fall under medicines legislation in Canada. This page is general information, not legal advice.
What BPC-157 with KPV is
Two peptides sold together for gut complaints, most commonly 10 mg of each in a 20 mg vial. The combination has never been studied. One half has five small human studies by routes nobody uses, the other half has no human data of any kind, and the vial is injected while the claim is about the gut.
This is the most coherent blend in the vendor catalogue on paper, which is why it is worth being careful about. BPC-157 came out of gastric juice research and its animal literature is largely gastrointestinal.
Mechanism: KPV blocks NF-kB and MAP kinase signalling in intestinal epithelial and immune cells, which is the mechanism behind its mouse colitis results. BPC-157 acts through angiogenic and cytoprotective pathways described on its own page and shows gastrointestinal protection in rodent models.
Regulatory history: Not approved and never evaluated as a combination. BPC-157 alone was reviewed by FDA staff for the July 2026 Pharmacy Compounding Advisory Committee, which found no adequate human data.
How Health Canada treats this kind of product
Authorises drugs for sale through a Notice of Compliance and Drug Identification Number. A compound that is not authorised for sale cannot lawfully be sold for human use, and personal importation of prescription drugs is limited.
The classification above is the The Longevity Archive reading of Health Canada, Health Products and Food Branch listings for BPC-157 with KPV at the reviewed date, not a legal opinion. Rules change, and importing, prescribing and possessing a compound can each be treated differently. Check the regulator directly before acting on anything here.
