Is DSIP with selank and epitalon legal in Canada?

A sleep and circadian blend, commonly 2 mg DSIP, 2 mg epitalon and 0.5 mg selank, so the two milligram-scale components are four times the third by mass. The human sleep evidence for DSIP is from the early 1980s and has never been replicated in a modern controlled trial, epitalon's human file is a Russian geroprotection tradition rather than sleep research, and the combination has never been studied.

The three components here are sold as a circadian package: one to induce sleep, one to reset the pineal clock, one to take the edge off. Only one of the three has anything resembling sleep evidence, and it is forty years old.

Mechanism: DSIP is a nonapeptide isolated from rabbit cerebral venous blood during sleep induction experiments; its mechanism in people is not established and its clearance is rapid. Epitalon is a tetrapeptide from the pineal bioregulator programme, claimed to act on pineal function and telomerase, mostly on the basis of cell and Russian clinical work.

Regulatory history: None of the three is approved in the United States. Selank holds a Russian registration; DSIP and epitalon are not registered medicines in Western markets.

Authorises drugs for sale through a Notice of Compliance and Drug Identification Number. A compound that is not authorised for sale cannot lawfully be sold for human use, and personal importation of prescription drugs is limited.
