Is Sermorelin with ipamorelin legal in Canada?

The combination most likely to arrive from a compounding pharmacy with a prescriber's name on it, usually as a nightly subcutaneous dose. The combination has never been tested. Sermorelin was an approved medicine and the ipamorelin half has one randomised human trial, in 117 post-surgical patients, where it was safe and did not beat placebo on its endpoint.

This is the respectable end of the blend market: a prescriber, a compounding pharmacy, a labelled syringe, an instruction to inject at bedtime five nights a week. That framing carries an implication that something was evaluated.

Mechanism: Sermorelin binds the GHRH receptor on pituitary somatotrophs and increases the amplitude of a growth hormone pulse. Ipamorelin binds the growth hormone secretagogue receptor and triggers a pulse, selected by prescribers for releasing growth hormone with less effect on cortisol and prolactin than the older GHRPs.

Regulatory history: Not approved as a combination. Sermorelin held US approval and was withdrawn from the market for commercial reasons; ipamorelin has never been approved anywhere.

Authorises drugs for sale through a Notice of Compliance and Drug Identification Number. A compound that is not authorised for sale cannot lawfully be sold for human use, and personal importation of prescription drugs is limited.
