Is Sermorelin with ipamorelin legal in the United States?

This is the blend most likely to come from a compounding pharmacy with a prescriber's name on it. It is usually a nightly shot under the skin. Nobody has tested the pair. Sermorelin used to be an approved medicine. Ipamorelin has one proper study in people: 117 patients after surgery. It was safe, but people on the dummy drip did just as well on what the study measured.

This is the respectable end of the blend market. A prescriber, a compounding pharmacy, a labelled syringe, and a note to inject at bedtime five nights a week.

How it works: Sermorelin presses the GHRH switch on the growth hormone cells in the pituitary gland, and makes each burst of growth hormone bigger. Ipamorelin presses the hunger hormone switch and sets off a burst.

Approval history: Not approved as a combination. Sermorelin was once approved in the US, and was pulled from sale for business reasons. Ipamorelin has never been approved anywhere.

Approves prescription drugs, each for a named use. It also acts against unapproved products, including peptides sold online. Compounding pharmacies, which mix drugs to order, may make some compounds with a prescription. That only applies when the FDA puts the compound in a category of bulk ingredients it allows.

Whether Sermorelin with ipamorelin is banned in sport is set by the World Anti-Doping Code and by military rules, not by its legal status in the United States. Before you compete or get tested, look up Sermorelin with ipamorelin by name on the Prohibited List, or look up a named product in Global DRO. Under the World Anti-Doping Code, category S0 bans, at all times, any drug-like substance that meets two tests. No other section of the List covers it.
