Is Thymosin alpha-1 with KPV and LL-37 legal in Canada?

A three-peptide immune blend from the clinic end of the market. The ingredient with the biggest study, thymosin alpha-1, was tested in 1,106 adults with sepsis, a life-threatening blood infection. It did not lower deaths at 28 days: people on the dummy shot did just as well. LL-37 has two small studies as a wound cream, both with good results. KPV has no data in people. Nobody has tested the mix, and no vial size is standard.

The pitch is that one peptide organises the immune system, one calms swelling, and one kills germs while helping tissue heal. Each third has its own evidence.

How it works: Thymosin alpha-1 tunes the immune system's T cells and the signals they use, such as interleukin-2 and interferon gamma. LL-37 is a germ-killing peptide.

Approval history: Thymosin alpha-1 is approved in several countries outside the United States, but not by the FDA. LL-37 and KPV are not approved anywhere. The combination has never been reviewed.

Allows a drug to be sold by issuing a Notice of Compliance and a Drug Identification Number (DIN). A compound that is not allowed for sale cannot legally be sold for use in people. Bringing in prescription drugs for your own use is also limited.

Whether Thymosin alpha-1 with KPV and LL-37 is banned in sport is set by the World Anti-Doping Code and by military rules, not by its legal status in Canada. Before you compete or get tested, look up Thymosin alpha-1 with KPV and LL-37 by name on the Prohibited List, or look up a named product in Global DRO. Under the World Anti-Doping Code, category S0 bans, at all times, any drug-like substance that meets two tests. No other section of the List covers it. And no government health regulator anywhere has a current approval for it as a treatment in people. Many substances that are approved somewhere are banned by name in another section.
