The powder looks like it shifted or is stuck to the side of the vial. Is that normal?

A freeze-dried cake can loosen and move during transit, and a peptide may appear as a visible pellet, a thin film, or barely visible at all, all of which can be normal. What matters is whether it dissolves into a clear solution when reconstituted correctly. A cake that has visibly melted into liquid before you add water is a warning sign.
