But in healthy volunteers it lowered fat and raised lean mass. Biohaven finished signing up about 150 people for a mid-stage obesity study in March 2026, using weekly and monthly shots from an auto-injector pen. It is the first drug of this kind tested for weight loss without a GLP-1 drug alongside it.
