What ATX-304 is
ATX-304 is a pill that switches on AMPK, the cell's fuel sensor. It has one 28-day pilot study in people with type 2 diabetes, plus recent mouse data. It is now sold as a research chemical and pitched as exercise in a pill or a metformin swap.
ATX-304 keeps AMPK switched on. It does this by stopping AMPK from being switched off, rather than by draining the cell's energy.
How it works: It switches on AMPK, the cell's fuel sensor, by blocking the enzyme that would turn it off. It also makes mitochondria waste a little fuel as heat.
