What Nimacimab is
An antibody that blocks the cannabinoid CB1 receptor outside the brain. On its own it did little. With semaglutide, people lost 22.3 percent of their weight at 52 weeks and regained about half as much during a break.
Nimacimab, from Skye Bioscience, is an antibody that blocks the CB1 receptor, the one cannabis acts on. It cannot get into the brain.
How it works: It turns down CB1 receptors in fat, liver and gut. That cuts fat building and helps the body use insulin better, without reaching the brain.
