Orexin-A is the brain chemical that keeps you awake. It is sold as a nose spray for alertness, after a monkey study found a nose spray reversed the effects of lost sleep. The only human data are small studies in narcolepsy. Approved narcolepsy drugs are small-molecule pills, not this peptide.
