Regeneron's antibody that blocks myostatin, used alone or with garetosmab, which blocks activin A. Added to semaglutide, it saved 51 to 81 percent of the muscle people would have lost. The three-drug group had more side effects.
The mid-stage COURAGE study tested semaglutide alone, semaglutide with trevogrumab, which blocks myostatin, and semaglutide with both trevogrumab and garetosmab, which blocks activin A. Results were shared at a 2025 diabetes meeting.
