Mechanism: Assumed additive, and assumed is the operative word. BPC-157 is reported in preclinical models to raise growth hormone receptor expression and several pathways involved in cell growth and angiogenesis while reducing inflammatory cytokines.

Regulatory history: Not approved, and the combination has never been evaluated. FDA staff reviewed BPC-157 for the July 2026 Pharmacy Compounding Advisory Committee meeting and found no adequate human data along with mislabelled products in the market. Neither component is an approved medicine anywhere.
