What this page can say
The names below are facts about certificates we opened. They are not a ranking of laboratories against one another, and they carry no HPLC purity score. Seller certificate tier is still the ranking on every price page.
The purity and dose gate is written and off. We do not invent pass or fail from missing certificates of analysis.
Deferred: HPLC scores, a lab quality letter, and turning the purity gate on. Those need quality data we are entitled to use. They are not shipped.
How to check a certificate from KMD Analytical
A certificate on a seller's site is a file the seller uploaded. A certificate this lab's own website shows you is something else. Take the codes printed on the file and type them in here yourself. Do not follow a link or a QR code printed on the file. A fake certificate carries a fake link.
- Find these on the certificate: Certificate ID in the form CODE-YYYYMMDD-XXXX-NN, for example HBL-20260806-VB2S-01; optionally the certificate PDF itself, which is fingerprinted and compared with the record; or a scan of the QR code.
- Type the laboratory's address into your browser: https://kmdanalytical.com/verify
- What a real one shows you: The record as issued, showing the certificate number, the issue date, the issuing laboratory, the product and a SHA-256 digest, with a line saying whether the PDF supplied is byte identical to the record. Anything else, even a page that loads but shows no report, means the certificate has not been confirmed.

- Report lookup
- Yes, and it goes further than any other lookup in this set. A verify page takes the certificate ID. It also lets a reader drop in the PDF they were given, and compares a SHA-256 fingerprint of that file against the record, so the answer is not only did this lab issue this certificate but also has a single character of it been changed since. The page says the lookups run against the same records the QR codes resolve to. kmdanalytical.com
- Outside approval
- None claimed. The scope page says the lab holds no DEA registration, is not FDA registered and does not perform GMP release testing, and that a KMD certificate is not a determination of safety or fitness for any use. It makes no ISO/IEC 17025 claim anywhere. kmdanalytical.com
- Purity test
- Chromatographic purity by reverse phase HPLC with ultraviolet detection, on a named instrument, an Agilent 1260 Infinity II with a diode array detector at 214 nm, against certified reference standards. The certificate prints purity as area percent with the retention time beside it. kmdanalytical.com
- Identity test
- Not offered, and the lab says so in plain words. It states it is a reverse phase HPLC with ultraviolet detection laboratory and does not run mass spectrometry confirmation, and that if a job needs a capability it does not have it will say so and point to a laboratory that does. Identity on the certificate is a conformance against a certified reference standard, not a mass measurement. kmdanalytical.com
- Amount in the vial
- Net peptide assay in milligrams per vial, which the lab notes most testing skips. The certificate explains in its own words that chromatographic purity is a share of integrated peak area and is not the same thing as net peptide mass, and prints both. heartlandbiolabs.com
- Bacterial toxins
- Not offered. The scope page lists endotoxin, sterility, heavy metals by ICP-MS and aggregate or dimer content as outside its HPLC scope, with referrals available. kmdanalytical.com
- Germ-free test
- Not offered, stated on the scope page. kmdanalytical.com
- Heavy metals
- Not offered, stated on the scope page. kmdanalytical.com
- Who may submit
- Customers order online, pay an invoice, get shipping instructions and mail vials. The lab refuses controlled substances of any schedule and says material arriving outside its scope is returned or destroyed without analysis. It does not say it buys products to test on its own. kmdanalytical.com
- Names the client
- Yes. The certificate prints Client or Brand with the seller's name, the batch ID, the product, the sample as run, and the dates received and analysed, with a specification column beside every result. It is signed by a named laboratory director. heartlandbiolabs.com
- Sample tracking
- Claimed as a logged record from intake to report, listed in the lab's own instrument and process table. No written procedure is published. kmdanalytical.com
- Turnaround
- Fifteen business days as standard, measured from when the sample reaches the lab, with a rush service down to four business days on orders of up to four vials. Shipping time is separate. kmdanalytical.com
- Pricing
- Published: 150 dollars per sample for identity, purity and net peptide assay together, falling to 125 dollars at five samples and 100 dollars at ten. kmdanalytical.com
- Independence
- Stated. The lab says it does not sell peptides, so it has no incentive to report anything but what the instrument measured, and that it does not manufacture, sell, prescribe or recommend any compound. It is a division of KMD Group LLC and the laboratory director is named on certificates. kmdanalytical.com
Report numbers look like this: CODE-YYYYMMDD-XXXX-NN, for example HBL-20260806-VB2S-01, where the leading code is the client's
Our notes
- The certificate says in its own words that the specification set is client or method defined. The seller supplies the acceptance criteria the results are judged against, so a Conforms on this document means conforms to what the client asked for, not to an external standard. heartlandbiolabs.com
- The narrow menu is the point rather than a gap. A laboratory that publishes what it cannot do, in a market where most publish only what they can, has told the reader something the grade above cannot capture. kmdanalytical.com
