Calcium AKG
Calcium Alpha-Ketoglutarate (Ca-AKG)
Also known as: Ca-AKG, Rejuvant
A metabolite supplement studied for healthy aging, with an early human study suggesting a reduction in biological age markers.
Overview
Alpha-ketoglutarate is a central metabolite in cellular energy production and other pathways, and its levels decline with age. The calcium form (Ca-AKG) is taken as a longevity supplement. Animal studies reported extended healthspan, and an early human study using a calcium-AKG product suggested a reduction in biological age measured by epigenetic clocks. The human evidence is early and preliminary.
Mechanism of action
Supplies a key metabolic intermediate involved in energy production and in enzymes that regulate epigenetic and cellular aging processes.

Frequently asked questions
Is Calcium AKG proven to reverse aging?
No. One early human study suggested epigenetic-age benefits and animal data are encouraging, but this is preliminary and not proof of reversing aging.
