Lilly's next-generation, self-injected successor to donanemab designed for at-home injection, with a Phase 3 that completed in 2026 and results pending.
Overview
Remternetug targets the same pyroglutamate-modified amyloid as donanemab but is given subcutaneously at home. The TRAILRUNNER-ALZ 1 Phase 3, which used amyloid clearance as its primary endpoint, completed in May 2026, and TRAILRUNNER-ALZ 3 is testing it in people with amyloid but no symptoms. Topline results had not been confirmed public as of this review.
