Is DIM a substitute for HRT after menopause?

No. DIM (diindolylmethane) is a cruciferous-derived supplement marketed for estrogen metabolism. It is not menopausal hormone therapy. Some women report symptom help in peri-menopause. After menopause, especially on HRT, stacking DIM is a clinician conversation because it may alter estrogen metabolite patterns. Food amounts of broccoli are not the same as concentrated supplements.
