What about testosterone or TRT for women in peri or post menopause?
Testosterone is a female hormone made by ovaries and adrenals across adult life. Interest in physiologic-range testosterone for selected women has grown, often discussed for low sexual desire after menopause and in muscle-focused clinics more broadly. In the US there is still no FDA-approved testosterone product labeled for women, so prescriptions are off-label and monitoring matters. Global consensus statements are narrow: the strongest trial signal is for postmenopausal hypoactive sexual desire disorder, not a blank check for energy, mood, or body composition. That is a prescribing decision, not a DIY peptide swap.
