Overview
Aleniglipron is a non-peptide GLP-1 receptor agonist taken as a daily pill with no food or water restrictions. In the ACCESS II Phase 2 trial (44 weeks) the 180 mg dose produced 16.3% placebo-adjusted weight loss with a 10.4% discontinuation rate, results published in Nature Medicine in 2026. That figure sits above the 12.4% that orforglipron reported at 72 weeks, although the trials differ in length and design. The ACCOMPLISH Phase 3 program was scheduled to start in the third quarter of 2026.
