Should I take semaglutide or tirzepatide?

What the trial evidence shows: in a direct head to head trial of nearly 1,900 people with type 2 diabetes, every tirzepatide dose outperformed semaglutide's 1 milligram dose on blood sugar and weight loss. That trial used a lower semaglutide dose than the 2.4 milligram dose approved specifically for weight loss, which is a real limitation on how far that comparison generalizes.
