Pancragen dosage and evidence

Pancragen is a four building block peptide from Khavinson's institute in Russia, sold to support the pancreas. The evidence is cell work, animal work and one small study in older adults with no proper comparison group, all from the same research group.

Pancragen is claimed to support the pancreas and blood sugar control. The biggest human result is one small study in older adults, from the same group that made it. In 33 people with type 2 diabetes, it lowered fasting blood sugar and a measure of insulin resistance. The rest is cell and animal work from the same institute. There is no proper controlled trial, no other lab has repeated it, and there is no data on how the body absorbs it. So none of this shows that a pancragen product does anything in a person taking it.

One fact about this whole family of peptides is worth saying plainly. You can check it in about a minute, and it almost never gets mentioned. Search the US trial registry, ClinicalTrials.gov, for epitalon, epithalamin, thymalin, pancragen, cortexin, endoluten, vladonix or Khavinson himself. Every search returns zero registered studies. So the human claims rest on work that was never registered before it started. That means nobody can check what was measured against what was planned before the data came in. Most of it also comes from one research group tied to the institute that sells these products. The study summaries do not reliably report side effects. So a quiet safety record means nobody reported problems, not that there were none. One limit on our own check. ClinicalTrials.gov is a US registry. These are Russian compounds, and we did not search a Russian registry or the World Health Organization's international one. So this shows they are missing from the registry most researchers use, not from every registry there is.
