Are research peptides legal in Australia?

This site's legal-status fields are national, including Australia as one of four countries, not state-by-state. What those Australian lines actually say depends on the compound. Approved peptide drugs such as semaglutide and tirzepatide are TGA registered, prescription only. GHK-Cu is permitted as a cosmetic ingredient, which is not an injectable drug. Melanotan II is not approved and is prohibited to supply. Many research peptides, including BPC-157, TB-500, ipamorelin, and CJC-1295, are not approved and are prohibited in sport (WADA).
