Why is selank not FDA approved?

This site's US legal-status field is not approved, research use only. Selank is approved in Russia as an anxiolytic. UK: not licensed. Australia: not approved. Canada: not approved. The human record on this site is one Russian study of 62 patients with generalized anxiety disorder or neurasthenia randomized to Selank or medazepam, with similar anxiolytic effects and no dummy arm. That is not the kind of independent, large randomized program FDA approval for a new US drug usually rests on. Unapproved in the US is not a finding that Russia did not license it.

Educational use only. This database summarizes published research and is not medical advice. Where a dose appears it is a record of what a trial or clinic ran, or what people describe doing, with its source attached. Nothing here is a recommendation for personal use.

Part of further names and published absences. Leftover harvested questions after the first two absence sets: more brand versus molecule names, side effects the citations did not count, compounding formulas this catalogue does not hold, national FDA and Australia fields, trial windows rather than an onset clock, named combinations with no interaction table, and oral routes that have not been studied.
