What does TB-500 stand for?

On this site the letters are a research-chemical name, not a spelled amino-acid formula. The TB-500 profile defines the substance as the N-acetylated thymosin beta-4 fragment 17 to 23, sequence Ac-LKKTETQ, molecular weight 889.01 daltons for the free base and 949.1 for the acetate salt. Thymosin beta-4 itself is 43 residues and about 4,963 daltons. A 2012 Ghent doping-control paper identified Ac-LKKTETQ in a product sold as TB-500. The letters do not tell you which molecule is in a given vial, and FDA's 2026 review found no published study giving this fragment to a person by any route.
