Can peptides help you lose weight?

It depends entirely on which one. Semaglutide, tirzepatide, and liraglutide are FDA approved for weight management on the strength of large randomized trials, and retatrutide, cagrilintide, and survodutide are investigational drugs from the same GLP-1 and glucagon receptor family showing similar results in trials. AOD-9604, marketed for years as a fat loss peptide, failed to beat placebo in its own human obesity trial. The receptor a peptide hits, not the word peptide, determines whether it works.
