Do peptides cause receptor downregulation?

Receptor downregulation is a specific claim, not a default property of peptides. The one family with human measurements is the growth hormone secretagogues. Continuous GHRH stimulation has been shown to partially blunt the pituitary response within hours in normal men, and daily GHRP-2 reduced peak growth hormone over five days in nine healthy men. The same research group also found no blunting after 14 days of continuous GHRH. Nobody has measured downregulation for BPC-157, TB-500, GHK-Cu, MOTS-c, or the other compounds people ask this about. A forum claim that you must cycle to rest receptors is not a finding unless that measurement exists. Full citations at /cycling.
