Can semax cause anxiety?

This site's Semax citations do not report anxiety as a counted adverse event. The human finding they hold is a 110-person unblinded post-stroke series: Semax courses raised plasma BDNF and were associated with faster Barthel index improvement. That is not a blinded placebo-controlled trial and not an anxiety-cause table. The animal citations measured hippocampal BDNF in rats. Selank, a different peptide, is the one studied as an anxiolytic. This FAQ does not invent an anxiety rate from Semax silence, and it does not move Selank's anxiety trial onto Semax.
