Does selank work?

The evidence is limited. This site's review found one human citation for selank, which is a thin base to draw a confident conclusion from despite its approval in Russia and its use there since that approval. Its proposed anxiolytic effect without sedation is a real and specific claim worth testing further, but it has not been established by the kind of large, independent randomized trial that would settle the question.
