Is emideltide the same as DSIP?

Yes. Emideltide is the nonproprietary name used for DSIP at the July 2026 Pharmacy Compounding Advisory Committee meeting, where the panel voted not to recommend it for compounding. This site's DSIP profile lists the full name Delta Sleep-Inducing Peptide, a nine-amino-acid peptide, molecular weight 848.9 daltons. The exact receptor targets remain unclear. A 2006 review cited on that page says the sleep link was never characterized further. The names are aliases of one molecule, not a proven sleep result and not an approval.
