Yes: Mounjaro is a brand name for tirzepatide. This site's profile lists Mounjaro and Zepbound as aliases of the same molecule. Mounjaro is the FDA approved brand for type 2 diabetes and, from August 2026, to reduce major cardiovascular events in adults with type 2 diabetes, based on SURPASS-2 (1,879 people over 40 weeks versus semaglutide 1 milligram) and SURPASS-CVOT (13,299 people; primary MACE 12.2% on tirzepatide versus 13.1% on dulaglutide). Zepbound is the same molecule under a different brand for weight and sleep apnea. A research-chemical vial labeled tirzepatide is not either approved product.
