When does semaglutide stop working?
This site does not hold a citation that measures when semaglutide 'stops working' for an individual, or that defines a tolerance clock. What it holds is how long the trials ran: STEP 1 to 68 weeks, OASIS 4 to 64 weeks, STEP UP to 72 weeks, SELECT for cardiovascular events over a mean 39.8 months in 17,604 adults, and evoke to 104 weeks for Alzheimer's, where the drug did not slow decline. Those windows are the published duration limits, not a date after which the drug fails. Weight-loss trials measure a defined period; they do not answer why one person plateaus.
Educational use only. This database summarizes published research and is not medical advice. Where a dose appears it is a record of what a trial or clinic ran, or what people describe doing, with its source attached. Nothing here is a recommendation for personal use.
Part of names, absences, and legal limits. Brand versus molecule, side effects this site's citations did not measure, how long the trials actually ran, what national legal-status fields can say, and why two-compound answers do not scale to a larger stack.
