Is MOTS-c legal in the US?

This site's US legal-status field for MOTS-c is not approved, research use only. It is not an over-the-counter medicine and not an FDA approved drug. The FDA removed it from the Category 2 compounding list in April 2026; a July 2026 advisory vote split 7 to 5 to recommend it for compounding against the reviewers' recommendation, and that vote does not change the field until FDA acts.
