Is DSIP legal in the US?

This site's US legal-status field for DSIP is not approved, research use only. It is not licensed in the UK and not approved in Australia or Canada. At the July 2026 Pharmacy Compounding Advisory Committee meeting, DSIP (emideltide) was the nominated peptide the panel voted not to recommend for compounding. That is a national research-use classification plus an advisory compounding vote, not a state-by-state map, and not a finding that possessing a research-labeled vial is or is not a crime in a given county.
