Does PT-141 lose effectiveness with repeated use?
This site does not hold a citation that measures tachyphylaxis or a date when PT-141 stops working for a person. RECONNECT tested 1.75 milligrams as needed in 1,267 premenopausal women with hypoactive sexual desire disorder over 24 weeks: desire scores rose by 0.35 on the integrated FSFI desire scale versus placebo, with nausea, flushing, and headache each in 10% or more. The 52-week open-label extension in 684 women was safety follow-up, so it cannot show that the effect still beats placebo. Use in men is off label. A research-chemical vial is not the labeled Vyleesi product. This FAQ does not invent a fade clock. Talk with a clinician if the approved product is not doing what you expected.
