The approved product has a published safety record in one population. RECONNECT in 1,267 premenopausal women over 24 weeks listed nausea, flushing, and headache each in 10% or more. The 52-week extension in 684 women was open-label safety. The Vyleesi label warns of a transient rise in blood pressure and fall in heart rate after each dose, usually resolving within 12 hours, and lists uncontrolled hypertension or known cardiovascular disease as contraindications.
