Is PT-141 safe?
The approved product has a published safety record in one population. RECONNECT in 1,267 premenopausal women over 24 weeks listed nausea, flushing, and headache each in 10% or more. The 52-week extension in 684 women was open-label safety. The Vyleesi label warns of a transient rise in blood pressure and fall in heart rate after each dose, usually resolving within 12 hours, and lists uncontrolled hypertension or known cardiovascular disease as contraindications. That is the labeled-product record, not a safety table for a research-chemical vial, and not a safety finding in men. This FAQ does not invent a male rate or a research-vial rate.
