Does adipotide burn fat?

Not in any published human trial this site holds. This site's review found 2 citations, both non-human. Adipotide is an experimental peptide, molecular weight about 2,600 daltons, designed to target the blood supply of white fat. In obese rhesus monkeys it produced 7.4 to 14.7% weight loss in four weeks, with dose-dependent, reversible kidney effects. Original mouse work used a homing motif plus a proapoptotic peptide. Kidney toxicity in those primate studies is why it has not advanced to general clinical use. This FAQ does not invent a human fat-burn rate from a primate result.
