Is Thymogen the same as thymalin?

No. Thymogen is a defined dipeptide, Glu-Trp, molecular weight 333.3 daltons, isolated from Thymalin and developed separately. Thymalin is a calf-thymus extract, a mixture. This site's Thymogen page holds an uncontrolled Russian clinical report in type 1 diabetes and a 2024 review pairing it with its D-isomer thymodepressin. Thymalin's human record is the 266-person mortality observation and the 42-versus-50 COVID-19 trial. Isolating a fragment does not make the extract and the fragment the same article.
