Is Forzinity the same as elamipretide?

Forzinity is the brand name for elamipretide, the same mitochondria-targeted peptide this site's profile lists as SS-31 and MTP-131. They are not the same legal article in every vial. Forzinity is the FDA accelerated-approval product of September 19, 2025 for Barth syndrome in patients weighing 30 kg or more, on a muscle-strength endpoint, with a confirmatory trial required. A research-chemical vial labeled SS-31 or elamipretide is not that labeled product. The wider trial record includes MMPOWER-3 in 218 people, which missed walking-distance and fatigue endpoints.
