Is humanin the same kind of peptide as MOTS-c?

They are related in origin, both are mitochondrial derived peptides encoded within mitochondrial DNA rather than the cell nucleus, and both have observational human data linking their natural levels to aging and metabolic health rather than trial data from giving them as drugs. Humanin's observational record centers on centenarian family studies and cardiovascular risk; MOTS-c's centers on a genetic variant and exercise response. Neither has a completed human dosing trial published yet.
