NAD+ is a coenzyme, not a peptide. This site's profile lists the full name Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide, molecular weight 663.4 daltons. It acts as an electron carrier in metabolism and as a substrate for sirtuins and PARPs. Tissue NAD+ is documented to decline with age in reviews cited on that page. Whether giving NAD+ as an IV or injection changes a human outcome is a different question. The one human citation on this site, a six-hour intravenous infusion, found no rise in plasma NAD+ or metabolites for the first two hours and measured no symptom, energy, or disease outcome.
