What does KPV stand for?

KPV is the amino-acid sequence lysine-proline-valine, the C-terminal tripeptide of the hormone alpha-MSH. This site's KPV profile lists that chemical name, molecular weight 342.4 daltons, and a mechanism of entering cells and suppressing NF-kB signaling. The letters are a sequence abbreviation, not a brand and not a human gut-healing result. Human clinical evidence on this site is limited; the cited work is mouse colitis and cell culture, plus a July 2026 advisory compounding vote. The letters do not by themselves say a vial has been tested in people.
