How does TB-500 work?
This site's TB-500 profile defines the substance as the N-acetylated thymosin beta-4 fragment 17 to 23, sequence Ac-LKKTETQ. The hypothesis is that the LKKTET sequence binds monomeric G-actin the way the parent peptide does. FDA's 2026 review found no published study giving this fragment to a person by any route, no human pharmacokinetic data, and no FAERS reports through March 26, 2025. The review also notes that wound-healing work was done mostly with the non-acetylated heptapeptide or with the full parent peptide, and those results cannot be extrapolated directly to the acetylated fragment sold as TB-500.
