Has TB-500 been tested in humans?

No. FDA's 2026 evaluation found no published study administering TB-500 to a human being by any route, and no adverse event reports for it in the FDA's safety database. The first registered human trial of the fragment, a small Phase 1/2 study in 80 people with stable atherosclerotic disease, only began recruiting in February 2026. Every claim about TB-500's effects in people is currently extrapolated from a different molecule, the full length parent peptide.
