What is TB-500?

TB-500 is the name given to a seven amino acid fragment of thymosin beta-4, Ac-LKKTETQ, not the full 43 amino acid protein it is often confused with. FDA's July 2026 evaluation found no published study giving this fragment to a human by any route, and no adverse event reports in its safety database. The trial record often cited for TB-500 actually belongs to full length thymosin beta-4, a different molecule.
