What is the difference between TB-500 and thymosin beta-4?

Size and evidence. Thymosin beta-4 is the complete 43 amino acid natural protein and has been through Phase 1, 2, and 3 human trials for wound healing, cardiac repair, and eye conditions. TB-500 is a synthetic 7 amino acid fragment of it that reproduces part of its actin binding activity in animal models but has no published human trial of its own. Selling one under evidence that belongs to the other is the exact confusion FDA's 2026 review flagged.
